Why is hunting for fun any worse than fishing for fun?
Why is Aaron Sorkin giving Sarah Palin such a hard time over killing a caribou “for fun”, but neither he nor his fans have any obvious objections to people fishing for fun? Is it specyism — Aaron feels closer to a mammal than to a fish?
The “sports” fishing, where you “catch and release” should be particularly disgusting to them (it is to them) — you badly traumatize the fish and neither eat it, nor give it away to the hungry.
Would Mr. Sorkin call the countless thousands of fishing enthusiasts (NONE of whom fish for food), what he called Sarah Palin: “deranged” and a “witless bully”?
Or does his reaction simply reveal, how he feels about her politics — her hunting having little or nothing to do with it?

I would ask him if he is a vegetarian. If not, how does he justify that type of hypocrisy?
In my State of Maine hunting is a popular sport, for both Deer and Moose. Which is why Maine is listed as one of the most pro-gun States.
The only downside to Palin hunting, she didn’t share any of that Caribou meant..
If you’re not going to use the animal for food or wares
then there’s no reason to kill it.
That goes for both caribou and fish.
But if you want some tasty jerky or fish sticks, that’s fine by me.
Sarah is on a mission. She wants to attract the male population since the females do not care for her. She is too dumb for our taste.
Killing for the sake of killing is wrong. Killing to supply food is acceptable to God.
