What is the an easy fish to breed?
I have always wanted to breed fish because I love the color and the way they act. I heard that guppies are really easy but then my friend breded them with an other friend and they had so many that the did not know what to do with all of them so they are trying to get rid of them by giving them as gifts and stuff. So I really don’t want to breed 2 fish then end up with like 50 fish. So thank you for reading this and thank you for your answer.

guppies and molly are about the easiest -having a large family is just part of it-most pet stores will take them from you

Many fish can give birth to hundreds of fry so that’s something you should be ready for. Live bearers are easy to breed but if you want to breed some egg layers try Convict Cichlids. Get a pair and they should spawn in a good sized tank.

well breed guppies you get one Hundred but not all will live s Molly’s might work my fish had 20 babies shes a dalmation molly.

Guppies like other livebearers can retain sperm. But if you want a slower breeding live bearer then go with a platy or a molly. They come in fantastic colors and you can probably work something out with the petstore to take the fry off your hands once their big enough (Either in exchange for like fish food or maybe you can sell them really cheaply or just donate them if worse comes to worse.).

Fancy Guppies.

Goldfish if you want to breed cold water or sword-tail fish for warm water.

I’m not sure if you want to hear this, but guppies are cannibals, and will feed on their own young. So if you don’t want so many babies, then just don’t segregate the females, and they will regulate the population for you.

You could get guppies to breed. Add Some live plants and some ornaments and 20-30% of the fry should make it. Not enough to overwhelm you. Just let nature take care of it. My sister had a 10 gallon, one half was FULL of java moss. They breed and 2-5 fry would make it every time. A lot less than the potential 60.
