@johnnybuckbrush Sorta, the water there is very dark because the lake is all rock and because of the mineral composition of the water I believe. That in turn makes the eyes dark
I go fishing up in the NE part of Lake of the Woods a few times each summer and we catch walleyes pretty steadily with pretty nice color to them but holy cow the walleyes you were catching seemed very dark is that because they are river walleyes or what?

@palballer23 No. Erie has more big fish.
@palballer23 Walleye. I don’t think so. I mean size yeah. You’ll catch a 18lb. Walleye there but on Erie you’ll catch 5lb Walleye like crazy. And Erie has produced a 17lb Eye and. But mainly its not uncommon to catch a 14lb. Eye there.
