Looking for easy fishing access in Johnson City, TN, near ETSU?
I am a new student at ETSU, and I’m looking for the closest places to go fishing. I’ve been to Boone Lake at Winged Deer Park and to Davy Crockett Birthplace, but I’m looking for whatever place is closest to campus. I don’t care if its river or lake.

Well there is Watauga lake and several creeks in that area.
If you have trouble acessing the creeks You might stop and ask permission to fish . Explain your a student and you will catch and release the fish. Most people in that area are friendly and will let you fish.
There are also some Golf Courses near the school .I dont know about the regulations there, but the ponds on golf courses are often full of fish
