Is fishing for Fluke fun?
im about to go fluking, and i wanted to know if fishing for them is any fun. Do they put up a good fight? Does it make a good fishing experiance? Could you compare blue fishing to fluking?

No, you cant compare them. First off Fluke fishing is a little harder than bluefish as bluefish will eat anything righ tin front of them. Also, you can see a bluefish blitz on the surface whereas fluke sit and wait to ambush on the bottom. You`ll probably end up getting a few snags if you arent familar with the area. But yes they put up an excellent fight and taste better than bluefish in my opinion. I think it takes more skill to entice a fluke to strike.

Lucas: You`ve only “heard” that reeling in a fluke is like reeling in a log, so you never actually caught a fluke then if you only heard. Have you ever caught a 10+lb bluefish? The larger the bluefish the less the fight it`ll fight for 15 seconds and then tire out. Doormat fluke on the otherhand are much harder to catch and put up an great fight

Fluke has fight in them, but not like a Blue, theyre just not built for brute strength…what do you expect? They look like flying carpets,but they don’t feel like a log whatsoever….now Skates on the other hand…
