Bass Fishing Sweeping Method
Join me on a little outing where I catch bass in a most unconventional way. I call it ‘Sweeping’ and in this episode of ‘Another Walk with Mike’ you’ll discover how exciting this method can be. I came up with the technique after having bass hit my buzz bait just as I was pulling it out of the water. Finally, after one such strike I pushed my pole back in the water and Bam! A method was born. Similiar to doodlesocking or jigger pole fishing, sweeping is best done from a kayak. Watch my video and see for yourself. It is as exciting as it can be. I agree that’s pretty cool and I bet you about jump out of the boat when it hits…but your missing out on so much of the ‘game.’ I enjoy the anticipation of a hit after a perfect placement of a cast and the fight to get it in the boat. I can see some excitement, for sure, but theres so much more for me.

Looks like a great way to break a rod tip if a decent size fish hits it. I’d give it over a foot of slack and work it slower so the fish don’t give up on it so quick when they can’t catch up. Thats what i would do

@bevanlurito you are right on but this method will not work all the time so run with it when you are on the fish but when they stop hitting you must change your methods
this technique is sound but might not work in all cases you must take weather water temp and time of year in to count and time of day plus water color you must pick the right color for the type of water you are fishing.

You know you can just get yourself a buzzbait so you dont screw up your rod…
Some of you are overlooking the fact that this technique allows the angler to keep a continuously moving bait in a confined area for an extended period of time, AND add the element of multiple directional changes.
This method has been around for decades. He simple “re-invented” jiggerpolling. It is a very effective and un-orthadox method.
Those anglers who are willing to put aside pre-concieved notions and “think outside the box” will in the long run meet or exceed their expectations!

OK, first off, you’re not the one who developed that mothod, I’ve seen it done before. But it is usually only used when you’re not catching anything normally. Second, you’re a fucking tard, just cast the damn line and you’ll probably catch more.
